Paul Hudye

Founder and Advisor

“I grew a business and a family at the same time. My greatest reward—seeing them come together and succeed."

Paul founded Hudye Farms in 1946. He was the first generation of Hudyes to run the family business, and proud that he is not the last. While he is still very active at Hudye Farms—assisting in operations and attending meetings—Paul looks forward to seeing each new generation get involved and succeed in the business. He passes down his knowledge and experience with each member of the Hudye Family, which includes all employees.

Greg Hudye

Secretary — Treasurer of Hudye Inc. and each of the operating entities

“The best thing about being successful in this business is that I get to share it with family.”

Greg, like his father and brother, puts high stock in family and friends. He treats every Hudye employee like family and turns every customer into a friend. As a member of the second generation of Hudyes to be involved in the family business, Greg grew up with a passion for farming and a mind for business. He works closely with his brother Ben to ensure the legacy his father passed to him will be passed on to his children and grandchildren.

Ben Hudye

President and CEO of Hudye Inc. and all of the operating entities

"There is nothing more gratifying than to sit around the boardroom with my children, my father, and our management team to discuss how we are moving business forward in a fashion we are all proud of."

At an early age, Ben learned from his father, Hudye Farms founder Paul Hudye, that relationships truly matter. He wanted to help build a family business and process that would allow him to expand his asset base, but also fulfill his family's career aspirations. At the same time, he wanted to instil an employee philosophy that everyone at Hudye is family—no one works for us, they work with us. Ben's success is evident in the growth of the business, in its financial success and in the dedication of its employees. Ben is always looking for ways to increase productivity both on the farm and in the community. The Helping Feed the World and King of Canola initiatives are only a few ways Ben and his family are using their expertise to better communities around the world. He believes in being a good corporate citizen and searches for activities where he can support youth.
