Hudye Soil Services Inc. was established in 1983 at Norquay, Saskatchewan. The business is owned and operated by Paul Hudye and his sons Greg & Ben Hudye. 25 years later, a 3rd generation has joined the company: Nathan (Greg's son), Braden and James (Ben's sons). Between Hudye Soils and Hudye Farms there are as many as 50 employees during the peak seasons. At least 5 of these employees have been a part of the business for the 25-year duration.

"Helping Feed the World" is the new motto of Hudye Soil Services Inc. An exercise in assessing the effort put into the business over the past 25 years has resulted in a new motto for the company and the theme for the hugely successful annual Field of Dreams project. After a quarter century, the direction of Hudye Soil Services remains driven by customer demand. From the first day, the business grew in direct response to what the customer base needed, with a major emphasis on the word "service". Stressing the service aspect, The business operates under a 3 part philosophy:

"Help maximize our customer's productivity"

"Help our customers maximize what they get paid for their productivity" (marketing)

"Help our customers with the financial management and results from marketing"

Our customers receive the benefits from being part of a network that shares the same goals and objectives as other producers in the area.

Norquay is located 1 hour north-east of Yorkton in beautiful North-Eastern Saskatchewan. Satellite locations in Kamsack and Sturgis supply crop inputs to customers in those areas during the busy Spring and Fall seasons.

Hudye Soil Services Inc. in conjunction with Hudye Farms Inc., Monsanto Canada, Bayer Crop Science - Interag, Agri-Trend Agrology, and Yorkton Distributors started a project in 1999 called "Maximizing for the Millenium Crop Management Project". Through the use of the latest crop production technology, the "Field of Dreams" targets high yields (120 bu/acre wheat and 75 bu./acre canola) in an attempt to minimize cost per bushel. The results have shown it is possible to maximize productivity and lower the cost per bushel, resulting in overall economic benefit. With the continued support of the original partners, less Agri-Trend and Canterra, the "Field of Dreams" project continues to be a source of powerful agronomic information and look forward to the results of the 11th annual Field of Dreams.
